Directions to fields: Daisy Field, Jamaica Plain  Daisy is a two-baseball, one soccer lighted field in Olmstead Park in Jamaica Plain. By car: Take Jamaicaway south over Rt. 9 and past small (Leverett) pond. At next light, make a right onto Willow Pond Rd. and park in small parking lot or along road. Coming north along Jway, look for Bynner St. on right (next intersection after Perkins St.), and make left on to Willow Pond Rd. at light. MBTA Directions: 1) (15 min. walk) Take E Green Line to last stop, Heath St. From stop continue south along S. Huntingdon St. 0.3 miles to Bynner St. Make a right on Bynner St. and continue 0.1 miles. Olmstedt Park/Daisy field is at intersection of Jamaicaway with Willow Pond Rd. 2) (5 min. walk) Take #39 bus (bus route map) out of Copley Sq. towards Forest Hills. #39 stops at corner of S. Barry Fields(not to be confused with Jack Barry Field at MIT in Cambridge) STREET ADDRESS: 190 Chelsea Street, Charlestown, MA 02129 From the North: Take 93 South to Exit #28 onto Mystic Ave toward Charlestown/Sullivan Sq Go 0.5 miles and take LEFT ramp onto Maffa Way toward Boston/Sullivan Sq/Charlestown Bear left on Main St Turn left on Medford St Turn left on Chelsea St Barry Fields are on your left. From the South: Take 93 North to Exit #23 Go 0.3 miles and turn left on Cross St (which is parallel to 93) Go another 0.3 miles and bear right onto Joe Tecce Way. Joe Tecce Way becomes Route 99/New Rutherford Ave Once you cross the Route 99 bridge over the harbor, turn right onto Chelsea St (it'll be below and parallel to the Mystic River Bridge) Go ~1 miles and fields will be on your left. From the West: Take 90 East (Mass Pike) to Exit 18 Cambridge/Brighton (a left exit) After the tollbooth, bear right. Go straight through 2 lights, and once you cross a short bridge into Cambridge, make a right onto Memorial Drive (this will be at the 3rd light) Take Memorial Drive to the end (about 3 miles) into Cambridge. Memorial Drive becomes Land Blvd. Stay straight on Land Blvd. You will pass the Cambridgeside Galleria on your left. Go straight and cross route 28 (Museum of Science on the right corner) and go straight onto the Gilmore Bridge At the end of the bridge (you will have passed the Bunker Hill T stop on your left), make a right onto Route 99/New Rutherford Ave Go 0.3 miles and turn left onto Chelsea St Go ~1 miles and fields will be on your left. (Direction details) Conway Park, Somerville STREET ADDRESS:560 Somerville Avenue Somerville, MA 02143 FROM THE NORTH (Woburn): Take Rte 93 South to Exit 30/Rte 28/Rte 38 toward Somerville At the end of the Exit, take a LEFT onto Mystic Ave (Rte 38) Go approx. 1 mile and bear RIGHT onto Rte 28 (McGrath Highway) Go another 1 mile on Rte 28 and bear RIGHT onto the Somerville Ave ramp Take a RIGHT onto Somerville Ave When you enter Union Square about 0.5 miles later, take a RIGHT onto Bow St and stay in the LEFT lane Bear LEFT onto Bow St at the split of Summer St and Bow St Bear RIGHT onto Somerville Ave Go approx. another 0.5 miles and Conway fields will be on your left Conway Park is across the street from Dunkin Donuts. FROM THE WEST (Weston): Take Rte 90 East (Mass Pike) to Exit 18 Cambridge/Allston/Brighton After tollbooth, bear RIGHT towards Cambridge Go straight through 3 lights (this will have you cross Storrow Drive and Memorial Drive) You will be on River Street heading into Central Square Once you cross Mass Ave in Central Square, River Street's name changes to Prospect Street Go straight for about 0.5 miles and at Hampshire St (Hess gas station, 7-11 and KFC/Taco Bell are on 3 different corners), take a LEFT onto Hampshire Street Go straight through the first traffic light (Inman Square), once you pass Walgreen's Pharmacy on the left, the street name changes to Beacon Street, Somerville Go straight and at second traffic light (not including flashing yellows), take a RIGHT onto Park Drive. Go to the first and only traffic light, and take a LEFT onto Somerville Ave Conway Park will be on your left. FROM THE SOUTH: Take Rte 93 North to Exit 26 Storrow Drive/Cambridge Take Storrow Drive West to the Mass Ave exit You will cross over the Mass Ave Bridge into Cambridge Stay on Mass Ave till you get into Central Square Take a RIGHT onto Prospect Street (Starbucks is on the corner) Go straight for about 0.5 miles and at Hampshire St (Hess gas station, 7-11 and KFC/Taco Bell are on 3 different corners), take a LEFT onto Hampshire Street Go straight through the first traffic light (Inman Square), once you pass Walgreen's Pharmacy on the left, the street name changes to Beacon Street, Somerville Go straight and at second traffic light (not including flashing yellows), take a RIGHT onto Park Drive. (Direction details) Donnelly Fields, Cambridge behind 850 Cambridge Street, the Harrington School, Cambridge, MA 02141 USAThe field is on Cambridge Street (which runs between the end of Memorial Drive and Harvard Square), just west of the Lechmere "T" Station and the Galleria mall. From Route 2 (Alewife) When you get to the end of Route 2 you will want to be in the left lane (start to get in the left when you pass the old Faces club). You will bear LEFT onto Rte 16 East towards Medford and then bear left onto Alewife Brook Pkwy. Take your first RIGHT onto Mass. Ave. Stay on Mass Ave. for about 1.2 miles and then take a LEFT onto Somerville Ave. (You will see Dunkin' Donuts and Uno’s on the left , you will see this funky windmill thing — it is about 50 feet tall and is red and there will be a T station on your right when you take the turn. At the next light (about 1000 feet) you will take a RIGHT onto Beacon St. Stay to the left when you go over the bridge. Beacon St. turns into Hampshire St. You will be on Beacon/Hampshire for a couple of miles. Turn LEFT at light onto Cambridge St. You will have to pay attention here because the sign is hard to see – keep your eye open for Cambridge Savings bank – it is on the left side, but when you take the turn it will be on the right. There is also a Fire Station (it is a big brick building) on the other side of the lights that you are going to take a left at, so if you go by it, turn around. Take a RIGHT at Cardinal Medeiros Ave. (about 1 mile) — the turn is right after Berkshire St. (one way). Turn RIGHT onto Marney St. — the field will be right in front of you. Turn RIGHT onto Berkshire You may have to park on the street, but there was a teachers parking lot there, but it had a gate and we are not sure if they will close it at night. (Direction details) |
