Good Cause Charity Hat Tourney
Thanks to a tremendous fundraising effort by the 100+ players in attendance, we were able to raise over $10,000 benefiting Horizons for Homeless Children.
BUDA selected Horizons for Homeless Children as our 2008 Good Cause beneficiary for the July 19 tournament @ Millenium Park.

HHC is a non-profit group dedicated to improving the lives of homeless children in Massachusetts by providing nurturing, stimulation and opportunities for early education and play that all children need to learn and grow in healthy ways. In addition to the over 140 statewide Playspaces and three Community Children's Centers that provide young homeless children with access to early education and care, HCC also connects the parents of homeless children with the resources and tools they need to achieve social and economic self-sufficiency, while helping to break the cycle of child and family homelessness. It also provides leadership in advocating for homeless children and their families through leveraging and sharing expertise with others and advocating with policy makers and the public. http://www.horizonsforhomelesschildren.org/

- WATER (we will supply some water, but we have no water source at the fields)
- White & Dark shirts    - Food (no food to be provided)      - Cleats

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
This is a "hat" tournament. Players arrive by 9am (sharp), register, and are randomly placed on a balanced co-ed team for the day. Every team will play 4 consecutive games and end by 4:30pm, when prizes are then given out. The games are competitive, but the focus of the day is on raising funds and playing spirited Ultimate. Special rules to be implemented.  Post-tourney gathering at the Old Irish Alehouse, around the block.
Want to play with a friend? If each friend raises $100 or more, this request will be granted, otherwise it's random (sorry)(and yes, it is blackmail). Limited to groups of 3.
