High School League FAQ

1.Q: How do I schedule my games?

A: First,  you will need to go to the captain/coach login page http://www.buda.org/hatleagues/captain.php?league=23714. Once you are logged in you should be able to see all the other coaches/schedulers contact info by clicking on the appropriate link, and you should also be able to edit your schedule with those links.  you'll have to reach out to the other schedulers by phone or email.

2.Q: Is there a limit to the number of students that can be on the roster for one team?

A: There is no roster size limit in any of the BUDA HSUL divisions.

3 .Q: Is there a specification on gender in the open division?

A: There is no specification for any of the BUDA HSUL open gender divisions--do keep safety in mind though before you pit different size bodies against each other.

4.Q:  Our team has paid our dues, why has it not shown up that we paid on the website?

A: When you pay by check it must be manually updated which can take time. Any payments made through paypal update  automatically.

5.Q:  How do I get directions for my playing fields up on the website?

A:  Directions can be emailed to us and we will post them. Please email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

6 .Q: Where do I go to get the waivers I need my players to sign?

A: HS waivers and rosters are to be completed through the UPA, complete instructions can be found here:
http://www.buda.org/joomla/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,593/ Since it's being handled through the UPA there is nothing      else to sendto BUDA.

7.Q:  Is there a minimum number of games each team must play in order to qualify for the BUDA State Tournament?

A: Yes: Division 1 open teams must play a minimum of 8 games, Division 2 open teams must play a minimum of 5 games. There is no  minimum requirement for the women's division.

8.Q: Why hasn't my team shown up yet on the BUDA website?

A:  The list of teams here http://www.buda.org/joomla/content/view/27/58/ is updated manually and is a little behind--I've put a note on the page we'll catch it up soon.

9.Q: Can I still schedule games if I am having this issue?

A: The answer is yes: Scheduling is done from the interactive scheduling page here       http://www.buda.org/joomla/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,558/ which is automatically updated when you register. Once you login, you will see links both to edit your schedule as well as for contact information for other teams.

10.Q: Why do I have to sign up for both BUDA and the UPA?

A:   the BUDA site is used  to register the team, arrange the team's schedule, and report the team's scores (game and spirit).  The rostering and waivering is being handled by the UPA.  For UPA sanctioning and insurance purposes, it is required that *each*
individual player be registered and waivered with the UPA.

So to summarize:  the BUDA site is for the team--and the UPA site is for the players.

11.Q: How do I sign my team up for the BUDA HSUL?

      A: go to the link http://www.buda.org/hatleagues/captain.php?league=23714 .
