Overview As a physical education teacher or a camp director/counselor, you may have had kids come up to you and ask about Ultimate Frisbee. Or you’ve heard about it, perhaps even seen it played, and want to know more. Ultimate is a great fit for school, camp, or other youth programs because it is:
However, you may be uncertain as to how to incorporate Ultimate frisbee into your program because of unfamiliarity with the game. This is where BUDA’s Youth Program comes in. This program was launched in 2002 to provide education, outreach, and technical expertise to make the sport of Ultimate Frisbee accessible to young players (ages 10-18). Other programs for Youth: The High School Ultimate League BUDA also runs a High School Ultimate League that organizes competition between high school teams in Massachusetts and throughout New England. Approximately 50 teams participate, with the number growing yearly. Match competition culminates in the BUDA-sponsored Massachusetts State and New England Championships, held the first weekend in June. Funding the BUDA Youth Program The services of the BUDA Youth Program are available free of charge, supported by fees paid by teams participating in various BUDA leagues.
