Tournament Directors & Volunteers

Each year BUDA sponsors four major tournaments:

Mixed Masters Easterns                                     June 2 & 3

Mass & New England High School Championships     June 3

Boston Invite                                                   June 23 & 24

UPA Regionals                                                  October 6 & 7

BUDA Webteam Needs Programmers & Designers

The BUDA Webteam is currently making strides to update our system and our content. Volunteers are sought in the following areas:

Web developer: Do you want to make BUDA.org better? We have recently moved a lot of content and need help desperately. Joomla CMS and PHP needed, MySQL experience and passion for disc a plus.

Graphic Designer/Artist: Some light graphics work is needed--logos, banners, etc.  Familiarity with content management systems (Joomla) and image manipulation software a plus.  This is an opportunity to help shape our new website look and feel, as well as contribute content!

BUDA High School and Juniors Programs Need Coaches
The BUDA High School and Juniors Programs are actively seeking volunteers: You can make a big difference by helping out this spring and summer. Some stipends are available to defray travel and logistics costs. Volunteers are sought in the following areas:

High School Coaches--if you have a couple of hours after work a few times a week you can make a huge difference for a high school team--the BUDA high school program is exploding and teams need coaches at all levels.  Contact This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it  for more information.

 YCC/Juniors Coaches--this is a chance to coach a national-caliber club team of Open, Mixed, or Girls’ Juniors Players (19 & Under)! The successful candidate will have experience at higher levels of competition as well as a coaching background, and will work closely w/ the current coaches and the HS program to continue New England Juniors’ successful representation at the UPA Juniors Nationals Tournament in August. • scheduling: arranging keys handoff, making sure towing volunteers have directions, coordinating pickup times, etc.
  
• inventory: keeping track of what's in the trailer. This has already been done end of last year but should be continually updated and new supplies ordered as needed.
  
• administrative: investigating insurance options, keeping track of maintenance records, looking into other storage options if need be.
  
  

The trailer is a great convenience for both our small and big tournaments, but it doesn't work w/out volunteer help. Rather than raising hat and league fees next year to pay for help, please help us keep costs down and allow us to continue putting on great tournaments. Imagine what finals would be like w/ no lined fields, scoreboards, tents, or water jugs...

No one person has to be responsible for all the above tasks, but please consider stepping up and becoming the point person, the "Caretaker/Organizer of Trailer." Once that position is filled, we know that other volunteers have always helped out.
